Work and Play- Flex Share
Many people are familiar with the the term CSA, which stands for Community Supported Agriculture. For our first Farm Club offering we’ll shift the emphasis and refer to this program as an ASC: Agriculturally Supported Community.
From late April through October, we’ll gather on Tuesdays from 6-8pm to work together on the farm. Afterwards, picnic tables will be waiting, the stock tank pool will be freshly filled with enlivened water and ocean minerals, and all are invited to enjoy a drink from the Rose Hill cellar, while we revel in each other’s company, the richness of the land, and relax into the gloaming light .
Members will pick and choose what vegetables they want and how many (take what you need for the week). You’ll be expected to put together your own share. Some vegetables will already be harvested, but depending on what’s available you may have to pick some things yourself. We’ll be sure you’ve got the tools and guidance you need to do so successfully.
We created the Flex Work and Play Share as lots of folks were interested in joining the ASC, but couldn’t commit to a weekly or biweekly schedule.
When you purchase a Flex Share you’re invited to join us for our Tuesday evening work sessions whenever it works for you and your family.
In exchange for 2 hours of farm work you’ll be entitled to select a week’s worth of veggies for $20.
Hope to see you out standing in the field.
